Recueilli et adopté tout bébé par un clan de gorilles, Tarzan développe un instinct aussi sûr que celui des animaux sauvages. Ses aptitudes physiques et son intelligence lui permettent de prendre une place à part dans le luxuriant royaume de la jungle. Mais, quand il rencontre le professeur Porter et sa fille Jane, en expédition scientifique dans la jungle, Tarzan découvre qu'il existe d'autres êtres semblables à lui.
